1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Kilimanjaro Lodge website or booking accommodation with us, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Booking and Reservations

2.1 Booking Process

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from Kilimanjaro Lodge via email.

2.2 Payment Terms

  • A deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking
  • Full payment is due 30 days before your arrival date
  • We accept cash (USD and Tanzanian Shillings), bank transfers, and major credit cards
  • All prices are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise stated

2.3 Minimum Stay

During peak seasons (January-March and June-October), a minimum stay of 2 nights may be required.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • More than 30 days before arrival: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
  • 15-30 days before arrival: 50% refund of total booking amount
  • Less than 15 days before arrival: No refund
  • No-shows: Full charge applies

4. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in time: 2:00 PM
  • Check-out time: 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability
  • Valid photo identification is required at check-in

5. Guest Responsibilities

Guests are expected to:

  • Respect other guests and maintain reasonable noise levels
  • Take care of lodge property and report any damages immediately
  • Follow all safety guidelines and instructions from staff
  • Not smoke in non-designated areas
  • Supervise children at all times, especially near the swimming pool

6. Liability

Kilimanjaro Lodge is not liable for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
  • Injuries sustained on the premises unless due to our negligence
  • Changes to trekking or safari arrangements made by third-party operators
  • Weather conditions or natural events affecting your stay

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.

7. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, war, terrorism, or pandemics.

8. Modifications to Services

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services, change prices, or update these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to guests with existing bookings.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
